our family
Three Generations
Jeff and Jason’s grandparents Harold and Ruth Warrington first purchased Bayside Gardens Mobile Home Park in Clearwater, Florida sometime in the 1950’s. This was the family’s first experience in the Mobile Home Industry. After successfully improving Bayside Trailer Gardens they decided to sell the community. This sale eventually allowed them to purchase Orange Acres in 1964. Back then Orange Acres was the last stop on State Road 72 to Arcadia and I-75 did not exist. Orange Acres was surrounded by pastures, palmettos, and orange groves.
Jeff and Jason’s parents Moe and Shirley moved to Sarasota with Harold and Ruth to help manage, develop, and operate Orange Acres. When they arrived Orange Acres had about 62 homesites. Moe and Shirley purchased Orange Acres from Harold and Ruth in 1966. In 1979 the final phase of the community was completed which gave Orange Acres a total of 235 homesites.
Moe and Shirley purchased two other Mobile Home Parks, Cedar Cove and Crescent Beach in 1981. They decided to sell Crescent Beach several years later and continued to make improvements to Cedar Cove which has 73 homesites.
Jeff and Jason grew up working in the family business doing grass cutting, tree trimming, landscaping, community maintenance, home installation, sales, management, and many other aspects of running the family business.
Jeff and Jason became Owners/Operators of Orange Acres when Moe decided to semi-retire in 2002. A few years later Moe fully retired. Jeff and Jason continue to serve as Owners/ Operators of both Orange Acres and Cedar Cove Manufactured Home Communities.
